Description
Tavin Tablet is a prescription medicine used to manage chronic hepatitis B (HBV) infection and, in combination with other antiretroviral medicines, HIV infection. It works by blocking viral multiplication, which helps reduce the amount of virus in the body.
For HIV treatment, Tavin Tablet does not cure HIV/AIDS or completely prevent transmission. Regular treatment can help control the virus, protect the immune system, and reduce the risk of HIV-related complications. Take it consistently and do not stop treatment without your doctor’s advice.
Tavin Tablet may be taken with or without food, as directed by your doctor. Missing doses can reduce treatment effectiveness and may increase the risk of antiviral resistance.
Common Side Effects
Possible side effects include:
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Gas
- Headache
- Difficulty sleeping
- Skin rash
These effects may improve as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or become troublesome.
Important Precautions
Long-term use may affect bone health in some patients. Your doctor may recommend appropriate exercise, calcium, vitamin D, or bone-health monitoring when required. Some people receiving HIV treatment may also experience weight changes.
Take Tavin Tablet only as prescribed and inform your doctor about any other medicines or supplements you are taking.
