Introduction About NEVIR ER Tablet

NEVIR ER Tablet contains Nevirapine, an antiretroviral medicine used with other antiretroviral drugs to manage Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection in adults, adolescents, and children.

HIV is a virus that weakens the immune system and can lead to Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS). Common symptoms may include fever, chills, skin rash, night sweats, muscle aches, sore throat, and fatigue. During treatment, your doctor may recommend blood tests to monitor liver function.

NEVIR ER Tablet should be used cautiously in patients with hepatitis B or C, liver problems, or abnormal liver function tests. Inform your doctor if you are undergoing kidney dialysis or have heart disease. It should also be used with caution during pregnancy and is not intended for breastfeeding women.

For children, the doctor will determine the appropriate dose based on their age, body weight, and body surface area. Common side effects may include skin rash, headache, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and fever.
